The B9 kalimba is the "sister model" of the Hokema B7, the wooden surfaces are the same size.
The tines of the B9 are slimmer than the tines on the B7. The B9 has a sound which is richer in overtones compared to the B7. The B7 has more vibration than the B9.
You can amplify the sound of the kalimba on a flat table or a drum.
The kalimba is mounted on wonderful american cherrywood.
